‘The Great Escaper‘ Based on the true story of 89 year old British World War II veteran Bernard Jordan (Michael Caine) who in June 2014 “broke out” of his nursing home to attend the 70th anniversary D-Day commemorations in France. His escapades make headlines, monitored by his wife Irene (Glenda Jackson), as the old soldier reflects on what his life has meant.
